Description

This screen was given to my mother-in-law in the 1960s. It is very heavy, made of ironwood from my understanding. When I have searched George Zee, this room divider comes up. I also have a gold colour cedar chest with similar inlay.

Each panel measures 17"x70". There are 4 panels. The  2 outer panels show 2 women and the 2 centre panels show 3 women. Each figure has been intricately carved of ivory, jade, mother of pearl and other materials I can't identify. The base of each leg is covered by a brass cap. The hinges ar made of brass. It is in excellent condition. I would be very interested in knowing a value of this screen and any other information that would be related. Thanks!
