the seller thought it was pretty early but said approx 1800.
the daggers handle is made of wood with metal studs 1 is missing it has a metal strip wrapped around some of the handle.
the blade is curved and were the blade is going into the wood it has rotted slightly i think some sort of beetle or larve .
the knife cover not sure what its called is a light metalthats beenwrapped around it. it also has a leather thats been sewn in a strip and what looks like a mini thimble on the end. its got embossing on one side of the cover.
