Is it possible for me to get more info or a rough appraisal on this clock

By sunny9000, 26 April, 2013
Description

My uncle bought this clock from a shaddy sales man, who said it is worth a lot of money. I would like to know if that is true or just a con.

any info would be much appreciated, thank you.

99.99% it's a fake. These ball watches have been reproduced in china for decades. It would be worth taking it to a watch maker for a closer look as the real ones can be worth quite a bit, but I would strongly advise you not to get your hopes up. These watches pop up on ebay for 99 cents to 10 dollars quite often and you can find them retail in large quantities for under $150. Don't ever buy something when you don't know what you're buying in the future, especially from someone you deem "shady." Sorry.
