Re: Itzchack Tarkay seriolithograph "Jamestown Cottage"
Jtaylor,
Your inherited piece of art work is quite beautiful. I too have purchased thru cruise ships. The gallery that usually handles these auctions is well known and can be easily researched thru online search engines.
if your relative bought this at an auction that means it has value. If it was a won as a free item then it will most likely have little value. I happen to ask an auctioneer if the free gift items have any value and the response was not really.
Is your piece is signed on the seriolithograph as well or just on the plate? And would you happen to have a certificate of authenticity? These typically all come with one especially from the auction company.
Good luck to you on your quest to find your answers!
