Ivory a.santini last supper

By tompop1980, 18 June, 2010
Description

Grandfather bought this sculpture in Italy back in 1974 paid $400 for it not sure on the year of it and not sure how to tell if its a reproduction or a real one done by A.Santini. It has a signature of a.santini on the back right in the middle. I looked at other ones they say it has a wood base this base looks like marble. Would just like to see if i can get more information on this if it is a real santini and how much it could be worth

Re: Ivory a.santini last supper

I also have an ivory sculpture of the last supper bought in Italy many years ago (don't know exactly when but probably at least 30/40 years ago maybe even more)doesn't have a name on it so don't know who did it but would like to know something about it but I don't know where to find out. This does not have a base of any kind, it is all made out of ivory as far as I can tell but it is about the same size as yours and very very heavy and in excellent condition. Would love to know anything about this if anyone knows. My e-mail address is [email protected] for any genuine replys.
thanks
