Description

We have a watercolor painting done by James Penney in 1930 labeled "The Orange Butterfly". I would like to know its value. It is signed by the artist and sits in a nice glassed in frame.

  • Size is 21-1/2" high x 17-1/2" wide (inside frame)
  • We inherited this and other paintings from my wifes aunt who worked at Munson Williams Proctor Arts Institure in Utica, NY. She was personal friends with James Penneys wife. James Penney and his wife lived locally in Clinton, NY and died 1982.
  • This painting was given to our son by Mrs. Penney in 1990.

That's about all the information that I have, can you help?
