Description this is a knife and fork set brought back from Japan from a neighbors husband many, many years ago. the date and place in Japan is not known. The knife and fork on clip and slide out of the ends of a piece of hand carved wood with barss clips. The set sits on a small set of brass feet. The knife and forks handles are hand carved out of wood.

I have a set almost identical to this but the knife and fork are separate.  The set was purchased in Japan by my parents around 1947-1949.  I have no idea of their monetary value, other than the fact that they have sentimental value for me. 

My father was in the Air Force and I was born at Tachikawa Air Force Base (now long closed).  We lived there two years so this carving set was purchased at some point during that time.
