Description

Probably early 1900's, Japanese, Damascene, silver 950, cigarette case depicting a Samurai & his horse (Chief going to battle?). ~ Gold gilding. ~ Shakudo(?) coloring; blue patina. ~ Etched, mirror-image scene inside & out. ~ 3 marks on the back. ~ Secure clasp.

Some light scratches on the back. ~ A nick along the inside, top edge. ~ Gap shows between the 2 covers when closed. ~ Small dent on front cover.

A nice piece, don't see too many of these around very much. I see them go at auction for close to $100.00, damaged ones are bought for their silver scrap value by weight.
