Description
This is handpainted. The pictures show 5 seperate Japanese people all with differant writing. A dark burnt red encircles the upper and lower parts of the pot. There is gold painted in various areas. It comes with 5 identical cups with lids but 1 lid is missing. I'm assuming it was a set of 6 and there is an additional cup and lid missing as well.

based on your images and the marking, your set is very modern, it's unlikely it predates the 1960's. Sets like this often sell for under $50.00.
