Description The piece is approx. 8 inches tall and 4 inches wide. The acorn shaped handle to the lid is guilded in gold and the is gold guilding along the rim of the lid. The urn itself has a colorful painting of blue bamboo shoots with the bamboo leaves and some white a pink flowers. All the of paint is trimmed with gold along a band of gold along the base. On the bottom of the urn are charaters of some Asian dialect (I'm guessing Japanese) There is also a sticker that has the letters "O" to the west, "M" to the north, and "O" to the east, with "Japan" in the south.

This piece is very modern, it's unlikely it predates the 1960's. Most comparable pieces sell for under $75.00.

Lovejoy
