The table has five "double" legs (a pair at each corner and center beneath (10 total). Corners are rounded. Table is 5' without leaf, 6' with leaf. Underneath you pull a metal rod which unlatches the locking mechanism and then the table will slide open to add leaf. The Hutch is same wood and finish. It has glass cabinets on top (the center cabinet opens) and solid wood cabinets and drawers on bottom. The 6 chairs have feet that match table and carved out backs. I have 5 regular chairs and 1 captains chair. The buffet (no picture because it is at my other house) has 3 center drawers and a cabinet on each side with hardware same as hutch. Condition is quite scratched up but construction is solid. I think the set would clean up beautifully. I am just afraid to mess with it because I know nothng about refinishing. I don't know where to go and I wouldn't want someone who does not know what they are doing to ruin its value in any way. Would love suggestions from the experts on this site. Thank you very much for taking a look.
