sets like these were all the rage during the last quarter of the 20th century, but demand for them now has dried up considerably and they are difficult to sell.Jefferson primarily made parts for furniture such as table extension sliders, they went out of business during the 1990's. This suite looks a lot like examples that were made right up until the 1980's.At auction similar sets sell for under 1500.00. Lovejoy

Hello. I'm new here. I just bought one of these sturdy & heavy tables but with 4 different chairs. The only marks it has are: *Jefferson Table Slide by The Jefferson Wood Working Co. Louisville, Kentucky 40210 (it's on the slide system). *1770 102878 (under the table) I was wondering if these are the Model Number & the Manufacturing Date. And what's the average price in Fair Condition? Thanks in advance. J.R.

Hello. I have one of these Table with 4 different chairs.....I wanted to know if the number below the table is of the date it was Made. Number is 1770 102878 (first 4 numbers could be a Model number and last 6 the Date it was Made?). Thanks in advance if somebody might know this.
