Description Set of John Maddock & Sons ltd royal vitreous china. 17 dinner plates, salad plates, double serving piece with cover, numerous other pieces, platters etc. I don't know the name of the pattern, but the background is white and has a green band around the rim that is slightly scalloped it has pink flowers that almost look like apple blossoms and also some green foliage with the flowers. As if they had been picked and placed on the dish. On the bottom of the pieces there are some different mark. some have an inlay of a crown and it appears the letters evii, it is hard to make out. some of the pieces have in orange what appears to be numbers, but they vary from piece to piece on some it looks like 11 and on one of the platters it says 26. I will try to take a picture to attach as I'm sure this will help. Just not avaiable at this time.

John Maddock & Sons where in business from 1855 in Burslem, Staffordshire England. The word "Ltd." was added after 1896. They used crowns in their marks till the 1940's. If you supply a clear photo of the marks i can give you a closer date range.
