I recently discovered a small platter 8" by 6" in my basement which I have identified as John Maddock & Sons Ltd Royal Vitreous Empire. The pattern is a green rose garland & ribbon around the scalloped edges of the plate. I looked all over the internet and could not find a match but did find reference on Replacements.com however no photo to compare. The stamp dates the platter between 1896 and 1906. I would greatly appreciate any information available to share about the pattern and any thoughts on value.

Re: John Maddock & Sons Ltd Royal Vitreous - Empire Green
John Maddock & Sons Ltd was one of many potteries in Staffordshire , England, that produced huge amounts of earthenware and ironstone in hundreds of patterns for the export market. Not all patterns were given a name, many just assigned a number. While this platter is antique by the simple passage of time, they were made in such large numbers values for them still remain modest, in most cases less than $50.00.
