Description
This a water pitcher with a blue rose pattern. The John Maddock & Sons ltd. trade mark dates the pitcher between1896 and 1906. I cannot find any information other than the trade mark date. Under the trade mark is the word ROSES which I believe is the pattern name. Any help on this would be appreciated.

Has a crack on the very bottom in the form of a circle and another crack that cuts though the center of the circle. The crack does not show on the inside of the pitcher.
Distinguishing marks
trade mark- John Maddock & Sons Ltd on top- England in the middle - Royal Vitreous on the bottom of the trade mark. Under the trade mark is the word 'Roses'

Hi,
Your date research is correct. Apprears to be the jug from a wash set. With the crack you could get 40-50.00 for it. If the bowl was with it possibly over a hundred.
John Maddock was a Burslem, Staffordshire potter who started in 1839, first he was with someone named Edwards (Maddick&Edwards) then Seddon (Maddock& Seddon 1839-42) , in 1855 he became Maddock & Sons, then in 1896 the "Ltd" was added.
