Description

I believe my great, great Grandpa was an attorney and helped Oregon become a state in 1855?  I have many documents written by him to that effect.  Also letters with signatures of Secretary of State and Governor, official stamps, and one typewritten called C.B. #3 A Bill. written by Mr. Dennison, Of Multanomah. In this collection are two letters from John Quincy Adams to him (his friend) dated Oct. 8, 1883.  These are very fragile, in good shape as far as not being faded, but if I try not to ever touch them because if they bend, they simply break.  So, I am fearful to unfold the letters to get more info without doing it properly and damaging them.

I have two photos, but I get an error and cannot upload them to this page.  :(
