I also have some of these plates but they are the sugar and spice. I just got them from my grandmother and she says that she has used them for over 30 yrs. I cant seem to find what they are worth! Getting Frustrated!

Re: Queen's mother dishes

My aunt have 5 pieces of this set. Are they worth anything? These dishes were made by  Johnson Brothers (Hanley) Ltd. Stoke-On-Trent England for the Queen's mother.  Thanks in advance for any help.  Troy

Re: Queen's mother dishes

They were not made for the Queen Mother, she just gave the company her patronage , which allowed Johnson Brothers to use that marking.

Re: Johnson Brothers (Hanley) Ltd. Stoke-On-Trent England dishes

Johnson Brothers stoneware was mass produced, the Coaching Scenes with the Queen Mother marking is fairly modern, post dating 1952. 36 piece sets of theis often sell for less than $200.00 at auction
