Description I bought the set in 2006 from a friend who got it from a friend in the army the story was that he had it shipped from another country i love the carvings especially the ones under the glass on top of the dresser i thought they may be Asian but not sure i took a picture of the label hoping i could get some information in my past searches i have only found Johnson furniture made in the USA

Your set is quite modern and was made in China. A lot of furniture of this type has been sent back to the USA by business people working in China and Troops stationed in the Far East since the 1980's. Most of it was made in hardwoods native to China and the surrounding regions. What you paid is about what sets like this now go for at auction.
