12x16 oil by Amarillo Texas cowboy artist Justin Wells from 1976. It's set in it's original 22 1/2 x 26 1/2 custom frame. Small water stain on matting. Painting in excellent condition.
We don't have much information regarding recent sales of Justin Wells (1941-2008) work, but comparable paintings by him have sold at auction for under $200.00, but often list with presal estimates up to $750.00. Most of his work appears to be in the form of pastels and watercolors.
