Kelly & Brothers Kelly Comfort Chair Mission Style

Description

This chair looks strikingly like the Morris Chair by Stickley. However the little metal tag on the back reads "The Automatic Kelly Comfort Chair Clinton iowa". The finish is badly worn from the wood and the upholstery is dirty and old. I need to sell this item for a friend and want to be sure I get what it's worth. I was surprised to find little information online about it and few pictures.

Chairs like this based on the Mission style were pretty generic, just about every furniture maker had a line of it by the time the style peaked during World War One. Unless you have one by the big name makers like Limbert, Green & Greene, Roycroft or the Stickleys they often sell "In the rough" for about $150.00
