I'm of the mindset that anything given to me by my grandmother is priceless! That being said, usually 925 indicates sterling silver, but on this type of item it is best to go to a fine jeweler to test it for its silver content. They can also give you an appraisal for a small fee for insurance purposes. I think it's lovely! I'm sorry for the loss of your grandmother.
