Description

The only date I could find is November 11th 1880 and it's on the last page of the revisor's preface.  The only name I could find was William Smith, LL.D and it was on the page entitled Comprehensive History of the books of the Holy Bible.  This bible has an alphabetical index, marginal references, more than 500 illustrations and maps. It also has the bonds of matrimony page, a birth record page, death records page, a page to record marriages, 2 military services pages and 2 family trees pages. It has a history of the translation of the english bible. The New Testament is written with black and red lettering.

Thank you for your time,

Sincerely,

Joanna Cox

I found a bible very much like yours.  The only difference is on the page where it says "The Original Tonques", at the bottom I have the notation  "Sears, Roebuck & Co."

I can't find out very much about it.  Did you have any luck?
