King-sized Bedroom Set with Apothecary Chests

By tdunaway, 17 April, 2014
Description

We bought this bedroom set from an estate sale in 2004.  The set includes a king bedframe with headboard, footboard and 4 posts; 2 nightstands, an apothecary cabinet with an oval mirror, and dresser with a detachable mirror that has 2 candle holders.  It's made of dark wood possible maple or oak.  They are very heavy (thedresser and cabinet is about 300 lbs each).   We don't know if they are antique or a reproduction but they are beautiful.

Re: King-sized Bedroom Set with Apothecary Chests

The set was sold by Vansciver in the 70's. Was designed by Jim Scanlen. I am interested in buying the king bed.

Re: King-sized Bedroom Set with Apothecary Chests

Do you still have this set?  My neighbor just gave me that dresser and a nightstand/side table with the same drawers and a marble top on castors. It isn't antique. I know this because they didn't make king beds but it is an expensive set. Do you j is the name of set?
