Description
This was owned by a life-long bachelor who collected all sorts of fun items until he finally married for a brief period. His wife died suddenly and he went back to bachelorhood. We suspect that this was probably purchased by the happy couple due to its delicate and feminine nature while everything else he owned was quite masculine. Unfortunately we have no idea of dates or other family history. Even Replacements.com came up empty handed when asked so if you can help us out you're a lot more informed than even the leaders in the china industry. Thank you in advance for your help!
Your set is quite modern,
Your set is quite modern, the company that produced it makes promotional porcelain and giftware. The marking W. Germany was used on German porcelain from about 1949 until 1990. Their website can be found here http://www.kleiber-porzellan.de/english.htm. Value wise, not much I'm afraid, they sell for about what you paid for yours at auction.
