KRIDER AND BIDDLE STERLING GOBLET

By caramonica, 27 October, 2009
Description

THIS SILVER GOBLET HAS THE CORRECT MARK OF KRIDER AND BIDDLE WITH THE NUMBER 61 STAMPED ABOVE IT. ABOVE THAT IS THE NUMBER N57897T ETCHED BY HAND. ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE BASE IS A FRACTION THAT IS HARD TO READ. IT LOOKS LIKE IT SAYS 129/$6.. THE DOLLAR SIGN IS REALLY AN EIGHT WITH A LINE THROUGH IT. NEXT TO THAT IT SAYS OH.TH. BOTH THE FRACTION AND THE INITIALS ARE ALSO HAND ETCHED. I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THIS PIECE, OTHER THAN IT IS 19TH CENTURY AMERICAN (PA?) ANY INFORMATION INCLUDING VALUE WOULD BE APPRECIATED. IT HAS NO DENTS, BUT A LOT OF TARNISH THAT I AM SCARED TO REMOVE.
THANKS!!
