Description
I recently purchased an antique "Landers, Frary & clark family scale. On the bottom are the numbers 182 in black paint by the looks of it. The body is green, scale mechanics are cast iron. It is a 24 pound scale. The fase says Columbia. Then Patented, Company name and adress (New Britain, Conn. U.S.A.. Then "Not for legal trade. The scale is in Pounds,1/2, 1/4, and 16ths increments. The scale face perimeter is an ivory coler paint. I would like to know the year it was made and possibly a value then and now. Thank you
Re: Landers, frary & clark #182 family scale
This piece lacks the unique bold styling of more collectible scales. It is a bare bones piece that was made for practicality. I'm afraid it isn't worth much at all.
