Hello, I wanted to thank you for your reply as well the link to find out more information on the Cedar Chest. What I wasnt able to find out was what the Hope Chest is worth as well as the year it was made. It's a late Deco example of the Waterfall type, getting the name from the curved shape of the lid. If I remember the serial number code right this one was made in 1948. Values for these are very modest because they were made in huge numbers, we buy ones like this for about $75.00 tops at auctions.
