Layne Alatvaista VA burnt into inside of lid. patent #'s 1756746-1759401-1769402; smooth finish lid w/ornate design around outer edge. 3 panels on front. 2 outer panels smooth, center panel raised floral pattern. Flattened round feet.

We get a pile of Lane chests in here, they have been in production since World War One and still exist in huge numbers. There are a great deal of images in the archive, just do a search ( search box at the top of the page) and see if you can find one that matches yours. That being said, Most sell for under $200.00.
