I bought this chest at an Antique/Garage Sale for $5.00 and figured it must be worth more than that. I am somewhat interested in selling but would love to know the value first. Inside the chest all the original paperwork is there. It was purchased originally in 1964 and has a $500 Moth Damage Protection Warranty on it. It is made of Cedar but the top, front, and side panels are covered in a light colored laminate finish. If the chest isn't worth much I may keep it and refinish it in a darker laminate but if it is potentially valuable or could be valuable in the future I will most likely keep it at its original state.

Re: Lane Cedar Chest
The chest was made 09/12/60. This should help you determine the value, as it has all the orginal paper work etc the value could be increased. There was a recall on the locks of many Lane Cedar Chests, contact the company if it automatically locks when you close it they will help you replace the lock.
I have seen some on EBAY for $99-200.00 not sure of the year
