A client of mine asked me to see if I could find out anything about it. I have seen smaller copies of this bell. There are no markings as to the maker. It depicts what looks like soldiers in pointed hats holding human heads clashing with soldiers also holding heads, they all seem to have helmets on except one head is a bearded individual. They encircle the bell and look like they are making some sort of offering or sacrifice to 3 men with what looks like instruments. The top piece is bent to one side and there is a tiny seam split, but, it's still sturdy. Looks like this might have occurred by ringing it over many years? There is a heavy weighted ringer that looks like a bowling pin with a top hole connected to the bell with wire and a hole in the bottom. Any information as to age origin, value or what it depicts would be appreciated.
Thanks!
