Description
I believe this was made to be a planter or an urn, since there are three small 1 1/2" feet on it. It is currently being used upside down as a lamp table. It came from a military couple who spent a lot of time in SE Asia. It measures 18"H x 28"W, and is very heavy.

Although your photo shows far too many items on top to get a clear picture, it looks like a rain drum from Asia, bronze. Are the 3 small feet, frogs if you examine them well? If in fact an antique rain drum it could be quite valuable.
