Large leaded glass ceiling light

By Jos Dennis, 14 April, 2014
Description

This is a 27" (690mm) diameter,  two colour leaded uplighter. Depth is 9" (225mm) . All dimensions exclusive of suspension frame. The metal suspension frame oversails the glass uplighter as can be seen on photo.

Most of the glass panels are in good condition but with one (see photo) broken in several places. However when fixed to ceiling this glass damage would not be visible as these panels face up towards ceiling.

The leadwork is in fair condition and is doing its job of holding the glass in place.

The suspension frame and chains are sound but somewhat rusty and in need of a rub down and repaint. The remaining metal parts look aged!

This was purchased in an architectural reclamation yard and I'm assuming it is old and not a reproduction
