Description
This is a unique wooden slit drum carved out of a solid piece of wood, with the exception of the legs, which are nailed on. It has paint decoration that is flaking off slightly, on the face and tail. The piece is very heavy and there is a large crack on one side, perhaps from the wood drying out. It looks very handmade and I don't know if it is African, Asian or American.
