Description
10 years ago, a man in my church gave me this horn, he said it had been in his closet for a very long time. Every music teacher and instructor that i have ever had begged me to sell it to them. The bell of the horn is raised at about a 45 degree angle above the horn. I dont really know anything about trumpets but am ready to sell it. I'm sorry that I don't know more, if you have any questions i will try my best to answer them.

Courtois made this model for LeBlanc in the '60s - '70's. It is a professional-grade trumpet designed for Bobby Herriot to enhance projection. Similar in look to the famous Dizzy Gillespie tilted-bell trumpet, this 45 degree bend starts at the bell curve, not a sharper bend beginning next to the valves like Dizzy's horn. Available in silver or brass lacquer. Typical pricing for this model in good condition would be $600-$1,000. It is rare to see one sell above this price as of 2013. One in perfect condition would command more. It is a good playing trumpet with a bit of attitude. Fairly rare because of low-production, these are hard to find. Typically seen in jazz or funk band applications.
