Leblanc Paris Gillespie style silver trumpet old original case great condition

I believe I can offer some assistance here. First of all, it is not a "silver" horn...it is a silver plated brass horn. It isn't a Gillespie model either, Gillespie's horn bent halfway up the bell pipe, not at the bell pipe curve. It is a French LeBlanc and that company is no longer exists. Selmer Conn is now what is left of it. It isn't that rare of an instrument either...I own 2 of them, although they are lacquered brass, not silver plate. It is very possible that originally that horn too was lacquered brass as well, and someone along the line had it silver plated. Several professional players used that horn, or something similar. it allows a player to basically look down and still have the bell point toward the audience. A question... is there any engraving on the horn that might make it stand out from any others...trumpeter Dick Ruedebusch played one that had a cobra engraved on the bell, making it a one-off horn and increasing it's value. if there is no special engraving on it, then it was just a stock horn. A vintage collector might pay somewhere along the lines of $1800.00 to $2500.00 for that horn... Hope this helps
