I was given an oil painting signed "Lee Reynolds" On the back of the oil painting, is a number sequence #133171. The painting is textured. It is beautiful. It is a water scene beneath a full moon, with some large sail boats. I don't know much about the painting. After a bit of online research, I have discovered that Lee Reynolds only signed his name as "Lee Reynolds" in his very early artwork. He later opened an art school, Vanguard, during which time, he allowed his students to sign paintings, "Lee Reynolds" and he began and continued to sign them, "Lee Reynolds Burr" or "Lee Burr" I would like to know if this painting is one of his very early original works, or if this was one of his student's works? In either case, I would like to know an approximate value. Thank you for your time.
