I should have searched the site a little better before posting my request for an appraisal. I just posted a request for the same item. I received this item as a christmas present in 1986 from someone who used to own a collectible shop. I do not know the current value, but can tell you that in 1986 this item used to sell anywhere from $70 to $90.
