Re: lionel train set

Okay, so this is a set headed by the 736 locomotive, right? Well, if what my guidebook says here is any indication, that locomotive was included in a number of sets and variations. In C-5 ("Good"-- well used or played with, paint chipped or worn, no major parts broken) the locomotive itself is worth about $150, plus another $50 if it has its tender in equal shape.

If you could tell me what kind of cars it had (particularly what their production number was, which is most often right beneath or above the "Built by Lionel" script), I could price evaluate those too. In average condition, I give a speculated value of $400 to the whole set, but if condition is better, you have original boxes or a few rare cars, it could be more than that.
