Profile picture for user paul-helene
By paul-helene, 12 February, 2010
Description

Left hand bottom side of picture ( G P 2207 LITHO IN U.S.A. with an oval sign with L in it and another small sign beside I cannot make out) Under the signature of the artist, under one of the letters is an odd sign can`t make out if it is (S) or (5).Colours are not faded, actually very beautiful, at the very top of the litho, very very small crack. And a very , very, small dented corner. It cracked when I took it out of its frame to clean the glass. When put back in frame, you would swear this picture is new!

History
Found it in a yard sale. It was framed, but the reason I bought this, because of the colours. I wanted to clean the window frame, so took the picture out of it, and underneath that picture, was a picutre of the same size of Saint Thereze de Lisieux! I was astounded! The beautiful preserved picture underneath, I will keep forever. I looked up babies made by Maud Fengall, saw a few, but never this particular baby. I know she has made these for commercial use. But do not know more. If anyone can tell me more ? Is this picture worth anything? Anyone doing a collection of these babies? Info greatly appreciated.
