Appraisal complete
Description my item looks to me like a small bed warmer from the pilgrem era, but i believe it is a remake as an ornamental item? i put my ash tray in it so it is hiden from plain site. it is made of silver or silver plate and has a wooden handle. On the top cover it has an etching of two ions dueling with a shield between them and on top of the shield is an arm holding a knife. the top part of the design is worn more so than the rest. i would love to know what it is and what it was used for, and if it is worth anything at all. it looks to me like it would be?  i also have a copper pot that is definately old it is completely covered with pettina. it looks like a big sauce pan but very old and some what worn on the bottom. handle is also copper and it is a flat handle, not rounded. o.k. thanks for any help i recieve in advance. lisa k  spring hill fl. i could take pics if any one needed me to, i just hav`nt got around to it. again thanks
