The trunk appears to be around a 1900 or pre 1900 trunk it still has a partial french what looks like train cargo sticker on the side from when it was used. It has the custom initials E. C. on the side most likely from the original owner. My father in law worked on the railroad as conductor and spent his life collecting items while stopped in different cities. He had been doing this since the late 1950's.
The trunk is caramel leather in color with thicker leather straps and Luois Vuitton like nail heads securing the construction on all the edges. Inside it is cream colored Louis Vuitton material, with a cloth type woven basket carrier. Inside has the Louis Vuitton metal plate with the serail #779265.
