Those would be your standard character marks defining the period of the item, I'm curious to see pictures of the bowl :)

Markings on Asian Porcelain are notoriously unreliable, though these are not "Reign Marks" that indicate the period it was made. Reign marks will have at least four character marks. You can look up hundreds of Chines and japanes markings here:
