Description It could be purchased in 2 parts to make 1 unit. The base was made as a radio-phonograph, the other piece was placed on top and was a television/bookcase. It has a beautiful cherry-mahogany finish. Cabinets were made by Drexel for Magnavox. The pieces I have are the cabinet only-The TV/phonograph and radio were removed and the piece has been used as a hutch/breakfront by my father and was given to me. The piece was purchased original by my great-grandfather when it was introduced. He was a prominent confectioner in Milwaukee. Any info you have could be helpful, as I have NEVER seen another-

The one I recently bought at an estate sale is completely intact yet not operational. I paid less than 500 dollars for it. It was made in 1948 and contains the original receipt, payment terms, manuals, minus the "Magnavox cabinet by Drexel" label. It had been in the family since 1948. Look up the page www.myvintagetv.com</a> for photos and details.

DR
