Description
To the best of our knowledge, this bed was built around 1850-1890, and spent all of its time within our family, in Washington, D.C. It is all original, and made with mahogany. It is in very good condition, and has never been refinished or stripped. The bed is very tight and sturdy when setup. High side boards. Assembles using wood notches and pegs from four pieces: headboard, footboard, and side rails. A new custom-made firm mattress made to fit the frame is included.
Dimensions: 77-1/2" long, 41-1/2" wide, headboard and footboard are 51" high.
