majolica cake or cheese set

By Sharyn St. Clair, 31 May, 2016
Description

I found this majolica set in Paris at an antiques fair. I've only seen one that looked like this before, and it was quite expensive.(I don't know if the other set had any markings).

It is quite lovely and in mint condition. Can anyone give me any ideas as to what it might be (cake or cheese set?), where it might be from, and the possible value??

Measurements are: plate: 13.5  wide x  1.5 high     Lid: 9.5 wide x 10.5 High  overall: 9.5" x 11.5"

(not sure if that includes the height of the lid WITH the handle - stay tuned - but this is pretty close!)

Thank you,

Sharyn St. Clair
