Marbro Lamp Post WWII Vintage Handmade and Painted

By lynski, 18 January, 2010
Description

Superb high quality workmanship. Beautifully handmade and painted ceramic lamp with original parts, shade and electronics. THe Marbro tag has the number 6745 stamped on it to authenticate it and I knew this was a collectors item when I found it an purchased it twn years ago. It is excellent condition and in working order, though it does need brass to be cleaned and polished and tightenning of the sockets. The base is made of wood and painted. This needs to be touched up; however, I know that it is better to allow the buyer and collector to purchase it as is. Otherwise, it is mint...

The porcelain lamps can be worth hundreds...but word of advice...don't call it mint, if it isn't mint.
