Description

My wife is German and was born in 1933.  This plate was part of a hunting estates that belonged to Kaiser Wilhelm and was managed by her Great Grandfather.  Her Grandfather said the plate was the pattern of Louis the XIV.  I don't know if it came into German ownership from him.  It was used at the estate in Ellenhausen when Kaiser Wilhems came to hunt.  Ellenhausen is close to Marburn, Germany.

The back of the plate has the symbol of Meisner porcelain, the number 23 imprinted in the material of the plate, and what appears to be initials written on the plate in green.

Thank you for your efforts,

John Taylor
