Meriden Britannia Silver Coffee/Tea Set #1978

Description

Vintage Meriden Britannia heavy silver plated- “Quadruple Plated” - coffee/ tea service 5 piece set, includes coffee pot, tea pot, sugar bowl, creamer and waste bowl.  Marked on bottom Quadruple Plate and Meriden B Company 1978.  In very good condition without any dents.  I inherited the set.

Sadly the demand for plated tea sets crashed in the early 1990's and as yet prices have not recovered, comparable sets complete with tray often now go at auction for under $200.00.
