Description
The stem where the wire runs through looks as if it is brass. The base looks like alabaster. The dancing Swiss girl is paint over metal, possibly Spelter? There are a few spots where the paint has been chipped off, like her knee and her hand,her sock and the tip of her shoe, but otherwise she is in pretty good shape. I put a light bulb in the socket and the lamp works.The total lamp is a little over 14" high, the girl figure is 6" tall and the base is 3" tall. I have two of these lamps, one has had the socket replaced, the other is original. I would like to know the age, what the material of the lamp is made of and the value.
