Metal Flat Top Trunk w/Wood Staves and Tray

Description

I cannot find a similar trunk on any of the websites I have tried, they are all wood. I would estimate it is appx. 4 ft wide and 2 ft deep, and over 2 ft. tall. The family that had it said they believed it was from the late 19th century. The leather straps on the outside and 2 of the three holding the tray in position are rotten. It is about 25-30 lbs. Green, but black on the bottom. The only marking is on the front lock, Eagle Lock Co., Terryville, Conn. USA. I have the key, too. Need to know details such as how old, who made it and how much it may be worth. Thank you!
