Hey all-this is my first time seeking appraisal of an item. I usually have a good idea of the value of things I collect, but this one is outside of my limited range of knowledge. I picked it up at a thrift store because it was cheap and interestingly primitive. My guess is that it's just something someone made in a high school craft class, but I suppose you never know. Any leads would be helpful. Pictures taken with flash, and one in natural light to better show color. It seems to be terracotta, or something similar with a clear matte glaze.
Thanks!

South American, maybe?
